Best Episodes?

Today at school, one of my friends told me they watched the Monkees!

She loved it and I was ecstatic to here that she really had taken an interest in something that I am passionate about.

The only thing was, she only watched one episode because she didn't know the good ones.

While I am tempted to say they're all good, that wouldn't be entirely true so here's a list of my top five: (please leave comments telling me your favourites as well!)

Number 5: Monkee vs machine
This episode, I thought, was quite funny. Seeing Peter being outwitted by a machine then Mike being deemed a genius, the toy factory and the boomerang thing. But what I think is one of the best things about the episode is that we get to see Micky, Peter and Davy dressed in drag. It's a bit weird how well they suit women's clothes, don't you think?

Number 4: The Chaperone

After you see this episode, you will never forget Mrs Arcadian, Aka Micky in a dress, blond wig and a fan to hide his face. He must care about Davy a lot to have to go through this and all so Davy can get a girl. I mean he falls in love almost every episode, he couldn't have just let this one go? Poor Micky even gets hit on by Mr Babbit, their landlord.

Number 3: Dance Monkee Dance
If this cute Torklenz dance practice isn't enough to make you want to see this just so you have inspiration for fanfiction then would the only Nez kiss in the series interest you?
Number 2: Too Many Girls
DAVY! Too many girls and such little time. How does Davy do it? He seems to attract them in this episode all about a woman trying to make her daughter famous but using Davy in all his beauty and talent. Needless to say, it doesn't turn out so well. I do like this episode, even just for the first scene. It's really funny.

Number 1: Fairy Tale
What can you hate about this episode? It goes completely off the series and onto a very attractive looking Mike dressed as a princess with Peter having to be his/her knight in shining armor. Honestly one of the funniest and most entertaining episodes ever. Mike deserves a prize for his wonderful (if slightly annoying) portrayal of princess Gwen.

So there you go, five of my personal favourite episodes of the Monkees. I might be back with five others as I had a pretty long list and had to narrow it down but I'll leave that for a day when I can't think of anything else to do. Let me know of your favourites in the comments!
