Two weeks (I promise to stop counting the weeks)

Evening all.
I've found a GIF on my laptop that I'm not entirely sure where it was from but the premise of it is... Tantalizing.
This is dedicated to my two friends, Meme and Ilsa who love Micky and Davy.

I think it came from the lovely ladies at Naked Persimmon, so sorry I stole it if it was but it's very... interesting to watch over and over and over...

Stupid Monkees Poem

For tonight, here's three Poems.
They're silly, stupid and I accidentally missed out one for (about or from) Peter, So bear with me as I try to think up one for him.

Monkee moments

I may have broken my promise yesterday but I will not leave you entirely with out.

This has to be one of my favourite Monkees songs so there is much to make me smile and brighten my day.
But it is the beginning that always gets me.
It's the kind of song that you play really loud just for this bit.
But I play it eardrum-bursting loud for the whole thing.

So this song, just the normal song, sounds pretty good, I mean Mike's voice! (squeals)
But this version, something about the start... Mike's slow version with his... whole everything! He's just so (coughs) cool. Y'know.
What makes this list is the bit when he sings 'play the drums a little bit louder' and Micky comes in with the drums. Mike's face is like 'nice one'

No Time

There's not really a best part in the video but I do like thing like:

• When Micky and Davy lean in to each other and sing together
• When they look like they're about to kiss
• When Davy tries to sing with Mike but Mike kinda blanks him
• The whole dancing routine that Mike keeps messing up

Heyyy

So it's late.
It's getting later and later that I post these and I am sorry, despite the fact that no one is actually reading.

I will have to break my promise tonight and do some of those 'best Moments in monkees songs' another day but I feel that to leave you with nothing is a fail on my part so let's see what I have in my personal library of random pictures and stuff I've saved from other sites.

So what I've found, (and yes, I actually took time to look through some stuff) is a book cover I created for a Monkees fanfiction call 'The Capricorns.'
I mean to actually write it but I've never really got round to it so Ideas please!

As you can probably tell, I made it on microsoft word so forgive the underlines and terrible Photoshop work as it wasn't actually Photoshop.
But apart from that, I want this to be about Mike and Davy, hence the Capricorns and I'd really welcome any ideas, even for short stories that I could write for it.

Mine was ok if anyone wants to know.

I thought, today, I'd share some of my favourite moments in some Monkees songs.
To make this list, these moment have to be make me laugh, I listen closely just to hear them or just make the whole day seem so very happy!

Sweet young thing-ah!
If you've every listened to the whole of Sweet young thing, a Mike sung song, the end 'Thing' has an extra syllable and it sounds... (dreamy voice) fantastic.

Ok, there's a lot of Mike on this list
The original version of What Am I Doing Hanging Round is something I listen to around three times a day and the video to go with it is as addictive.
There's about ten things that make me smile in this like when Mike turns to sing with Davy or when Micky messes about in the back ground but it is Mike's face during the second last chorus singing 'I should be riding on that train to san antone'

I'm Gonna Buy me a Dog
Here's the first non-Mike entry.
I'm gonna buy me a dog is such a funny song. Every time I listen to it, I can imagine the four guys just messing about in the studio playing this song.
So this is a sort of three in one because it's Micky's Boop, boop, sh-bop, bop, ramalama  thing coupled with his having to go straight into I'm gonna buy me a dog and then finally, Davy's wonderful laugh. It sends me into giggles, even if I'm just walking on my way home and everyone is looking at me.
