The references

I drew this picture, It's really bad quality photo but it had over 19 references to Monkees songs, pretty cool, hu.

These are some books in the picture, the tip one is a fashion book, the next, a fairy tale and the last, a book about everybody's past. Can you guess any of the songs?

Here are some easier ones, on the door there is a sign saying into summer

Peter singing a song to a girl hanging around the door has two references that are a little more difficult to identify.

At the back, there is a flip calendar on a Saturday

There's a signed picture of Davy on the wall that says 'It was nice knowing you. Davy Jones'

There is a show on the tv that is a little less discreet than many references on here, Daydream Believer.

And there are many more. What d'you think? Can you notice any of the others?

Yeah, I'm obsessed

You all know how much I adore the Monkees but did you know just how much?

Today, I bought a packet of decorate you own gingerbread men and d'you know who they turned out as?

Peter on top, left Davy, right Mike and bottom Micky. They are so bad! haha

Certainly not my best piece of art I've ever done but... yeah

Laugh, ha ha ha ha

Just some stuff that made me smile:
Did you know that Micky's name is Micky Danger Chicken as said by him in the Monstrous Monkee Mash?
Isn't it cute that one of Mikes many names for Davy is 'Tiny' said in A Coffin Too Frequent?
Isn't Mike's voice adorable when it goes just a little higher than meant to like in Hillbilly Honeymoon or when he says Lucy! in The Monkees in Texas?
Davy's 'oh' noises, that's all I have to say on that one.
Don't you just love Peter's chubby cheek face in both Monkees a la Mode and The prince and the paupers?

Weren't they good, they make me happy

After a stressful day, I am so glad to sit and listen to my Monkees. 

That's what I love about them, the Monkees may not be the best music, if there is such a thing, but they are fun and they've really cheered me up today. I hope, when you lot are feeling down, our Pre-Fab four will bring that to an end too.
